BUGS LIFE! :)
BUGS' LIFE!!! Our Visual Basic activities this last quarter had some twists. FIRST: Bryan joined our team (me and Rani) . His former team had no computer to use so they separated ways and joined other groups :) We were so fortunate that Bryan joined us because his ideas were SO great and helped us a lot to make a program. SECOND: We had so much fun making the activities because we made the activities in our house. Erron, from the other group, helped us also and taught us how to write codes . These activities served as our bonding moments especially graduation is fast-approaching. Speaking of codes... These activities are not that "easy". We encountered bugs that almost made us lose hope. But these bugs will not be corrected if we will not find the solution. So, we open our eyes (literally) and try to check the codes one by one. One example of these bugs is Run Time error. We often encountered it because of carelessness in the codes. One example is the end part of the location of the image e.g.("C:\Documents and Settings\Marou\Desktop\Folder\yellow.jpg) We should be watchful especially if it is jpg, icon or others. Also, if the codes are mispelled and do not match the name of the event, this kind of error will occur. Another is the Compile Error. We faced many compile errors in Visual Basic (SUPER!).We encountered it in the "ElseIf" statement. The word "ElseIf" should have no space or else it will not work. The position of the codes must also be well -written to avoid this kind of error. If it must have "quotation mark", well, write it! We must always cautious in writing the codes. Truly, Codes are really very sensitive. :D So We advise you to be very vigilant everytime writing the codes. THIRD: I realized that VISUAL BASIC is not just patience... In fact, It is a skill! One must study first the basics and rules of creating program. Programs are not just made by luck! We must be able to comprehend the conditions and the guidelines in writing the codes. We must be PATIENT, IMAGINATIVE, SKILLFUL and of course, OPTIMISTIC that the program we're working will have a good outcome! "Writing program is like driving our lives. It's on our hands if we will DEBUG our lives or just lose hope and just END it."
